The Cool Moms of L.A. Came Out to Celebrate Maisonette’s New Collection

Monday night, it was Mom’s Night Out in West Hollywood as Jamie Mizrahi, Michelle Monaghan, Nicole Richie, and Kelly Sawyer celebrated the new Maisonette Essentials collection at the ultra-hot spot San Vicente Bungalows. Hosted by the brand and its partner Yumi, the intimate dinner was set in the pink-and-white-striped dining room at a long dining table decorated with white peonies, ranunculus, and spring roses from UrbanStems.

Menus and placemats were printed in Maisonette’s personal patterns, and the entire event felt like an oasis, despite its being in the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles.

Since its launch, in 2017, by Sylvana Ward Durrett and Luisana Mendoza de Roccia, Maisonette has continued its commitment to making shopping easy and stylish with the debut of its first children’s clothing collection, Maisonette Essentials.

Designed by Maisonette’s in-house team, led by Karolina Petersson, formerly of Celine, Maisonette Essentials offers kid-friendly basics that are accessible to all (everything in the collection is less than $50!).

Of the collection, Ward Durrett explained, “Since starting Maisonette, we’ve always known this is something we’ve wanted to do, but we wanted to take the time to really understand our customer and understand the white space in the market. The collection is a mixture of stylish and basics for everyday that you won’t have to worry about your children getting dirty, because we’ve really been able to price the collection affordably.”

The line was on display for guests to browse through on the patio, before a dinner of grilled salmon and steak kebabs was served. Just before the lemon meringue dessert, Ward Durrett gave a speech about appreciating women and how important it is to build up the women in your life. This dinner was part of Maisonette’s multi-city activation, which began in April in Miami and will head to San Francisco and the Hamptons next.
